Summer Job

This summer like most US teens I was job hunting. Being a 14 year old girl, not many people want to hire you so I begged my mom to ask one of her and my dads tenets Deborah to hire me. Deborah owns a make-up shop called Blush Beauty Bar and since I love make-up I thought it would be fun. Working at a clothing store would have been my number one choice but my parents don't have to many tenets that own clothing stores. Deborah and I are close so I was hired quickly, but only to help with big events. I had only worked there one day before I got another job offer. My moms friend Nancy is a world renowned photo stylist and she asked me to help her on a shoot for rapper Wale and violinist Lee England. I love Wale and fashion (I got to work with the stylist too) so I said yes. The shoot took place on Alberta Street. There were to trailers parked in a gravel parking lot, one for staff, and one for the celebrity and his posé. We went to various locations and met the sweetest nicest man Derek Roche rapper Diddys stylist ( see picture below).

After the shoot, Nancy asked if I wanted to work on another shoot with her, this time with Justin Bieber for Teen Vogue. Oh corse I said yes. Justin Bieber is a phenomenon, how could I say no? We met up at Grant High School where I nervously waited to meet Justin Bieber. When I first met him I couldn't believe it was him. Not in a bad way, just in a surprised way. I also met his really nice friends Kenny Hamilton and Julian Swirsky. Justin Bieber even wore my sweater! (see above picture of Justin Bieber). I really wish I could have talked to him more, but he was really busy. I am really happy I have such an amazing job and can't wait to continue doing things like this.

Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend, Best Coast, Dot Dot Curve and J bigga?

(coolest shoes/pants ever! I want them)

Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend and Best Coast (don't know the name of song, oh and click the link)

Converse by J bigga feat. Dot Dot Curve ( dont mind the video, just listen to the song)

Converse are the best shoes in the world, everyone knows that. They go with anything you wear. Okay we all know this is a fashion blog and not a music blog but I wanted to show you just how much Converse is appreciated by celebrities. As everyone knows Converse are loved and worn by many celebrities, but some love them so much they decide to write songs about them. Comment and tell me which song you think is better. I personally think the first one is.

California Girls

Steve Madden, Buffalo Exchange (the one in Portland)

This summer my friend Camille (check out her blog exposedcouture.blogspot.com) took me to LA with her to live and stay with her aunt and uncle. The first thing we did when we got to LA was go to Camille's eight year old cousins soccer game. After that her aunt asked us if we wanted to go do some shopping and of corse Camille and I said yes. She took us to this amazing mall called Fashion Island. I had heard about it before in the TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashions, but I'd never seen it. I thought it would just be a normal mall but boy was I wrong. This wasn't just an amazing outdoor mall, this was a a fantasy land of clothes. If you look at my pictures above they were all taken at Fashion Island and you can see how amazing it really is. A few days later we also went to another mall called Victoria Gardens. This in my opinion, was the best Outlet mall ever created. It had Sax Off 5th (Sax 5th Avenue outlet), Couch Factory outlet, Vans outlet (where I got a two pairs of shoes for the price of one deal), and a few other cool shops. Our next shopping adventure was 3rd street promenade. They also had some great shops including Zara, Mango, Fred Siegal, Miss Sixty and a Kitson outlet. If you live in the LA area or are visiting I would really recommend going to Victoria Gardens, 3rd street promenade and Fashion Island.

Being in California also made me think of Katy Perry's hit song California Gurls! I love the clothes in this music video, very modern Hollywood. Check out her sparkly blue shorts, I want a pair so bad!

Sex Sells so Be Stupid

Sex sells, unfortunately they sell jeans, but good jeans at that. Not only are Diesels clothes amazing, so are their ads! The main picture on my profile is actually from their be stupid campaign. I was looking at the website and everything is amazing. I hope you enjoy the collection as much as I did.

Edie the great

ebay $9.99

Royal Elastic $95

I love Edie Sedgwick. She is an amazing fashion icon. If
you haven't seen Factory Girl I recommend you get off
your computer, go to your local video store, and rent it.
If you don't know who Edie Sedgwick is then i
recommend you Google search her, go to the video
store, and then watch the movie. The fashion in that
movie is something to get excited about. It totally made
me want to go to a thrift shop and buy a bunch of 60's
looking clothing. I have the most amazing Edie Sedgwick
shirt and shoes. The funny thing is the shirt says Edie on
it, so whenever i wear it and people ask me what my
name is I just point to my shirt. I can't find mine right
now so ill just get pictures of them off the internet.
